A lot of what I learned about mystery shopping was a direct result of reading Cathy Stucker's Mystery Shopping Manual. Cathy's been in the business over 10 years and has a LOT more tips and information that anyone from a beginner to an experienced shopper can learn from (I didn't read the book until recently and I'm amazed!).
For anyone who is a beginner at this I totally recommend this book. It will help you to receive more shops, better shop reports, AND help you to be the BEST shopper that you can be--which in turn means more money for you!
You can find it on Amazon.com--again a GREAT read. I don't believe that you should have to spend money to find shops BUT I do believe in investing in yourself and your mystery shopping business. This book could also be deducted on your taxes because it is a cost of doing business since most of us mystery shoppers are independent contractors.
